Mood Boards
Street / intersection ( scene 1, 3)
Films Referenced: L’Eclisse, La Notte, L’Avventura (Antonioni)
Key Cinematic Elements:
    •    Architectural isolation: The frame often swallows the characters, emphasizing their alienation by dwarfing them within vast impersonal spaces
    •    Negative space: Characters are placed off-center or in the margins, with a heavy use of empty or geometric space that feels barren
    •    Stillness, slow movement: Contemplative, characters appear emotionally stagnant or uncertain. Minimal camera movement enhances this, non human motion
    •    Modernist framing: Abstracted compositions, often with walls, windows, or architecture bisecting the frame, distancing characters emotionally and visually
    •    Stark light: cold blue light creating emotional numbness and modern malaise (not black & white as depicted)
Apartment living room (scene 2)
Films Referenced: In the Mood for Love (Wong Kar-wai)
Key Cinematic Elements:
    •    Color and texture: Rich, saturated color palettes with patterned interiors and warm lighting evoke intimacy
    •    Tight framing and obscuration: Use of doorways, mirrors, windows, and foreground objects to create layers and a sense of voyeurism
    •    Gradual + natural motion: Movement is deliberate, expressive, casual, organic
    •    Shallow depth of field: Draws focus tightly to character expressions or objects, emphasizing internal emotion over spatial awareness
    •    Camera movement: Glides smoothly or lingers, often with characters

Wardrobe, Hair & Makeup
For: Victor (man) & Sam (woman)

SCENE 1 & 3: Outdoor — Sidewalk/Crosswalk

•   Bottoms: Clean, well-fitting jeans or casual slacks
•   Shoes: Nice sneakers or casual dress shoes

•   Makeup: Light but noticeable — lipstick or blush is okay
•   Other Notes: She should look like she’s made an effort, but nothing flashy

SCENE 2: Interior — Living Room
